Who we are and what this covers
Standard Electronic Commerce Services Ltd. (SECS), company no. 206132338, is responsible for personal information it collects through this company website, direct enquiries and its SECS Customer Messaging app. Our registered address is 25 Vitosha Bul, fl 2, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria. Contact info@standardecom.com about privacy.
SECS Customer Messaging is a WhatsApp integration currently in setup and testing. It is not yet connected to the existing customer WhatsApp number. This notice does not replace the privacy notices of the shops linked from our directory; consult the relevant shop for information about purchases and its customer service.
Information and purposes
- Website visits: our hosting provider receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and request time to deliver and protect the site. This site has no advertising or analytics scripts, sign-up forms or customer accounts.
- Direct enquiries: we receive your email address, name and any information or attachments you send us, and use them to respond and manage the enquiry.
- WhatsApp testing: if you participate in a test, the app can process your phone number, WhatsApp profile name, messages and attachments exchanged with the test number, message identifiers, timestamps and delivery/read events. We use these to test sending, receiving and delivery, and diagnose problems.
Please send only information needed for your enquiry or test, and avoid payment-card details, passwords and sensitive personal information.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website, responding to enquiries and testing business communications. Where relevant, we also process information to take steps you request before a contract, perform a contract, meet legal obligations or act on your consent. Providing enquiry or test information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond or complete a test without it.
Access and service providers
Information is available to authorised people administering SECS communications and the providers needed for those services: Cloudflare for this website, Microsoft 365 for email, and Meta/WhatsApp for WhatsApp messaging and testing. WhatsApp also processes information under its own privacy policy.
These providers operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
We do not sell personal information. The current app does not forward customer conversations to AI services or Telegram, run marketing campaigns, or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about individuals. We will update this notice before introducing live customer messaging or additional services that process conversations.
Retention
We retain enquiry records while needed to answer and follow up on the enquiry, and test records while needed to complete testing and resolve associated faults. Records may be kept longer where required by law or needed for a specific legal claim. Retention depends on whether the matter remains open, the information’s continuing necessity and applicable legal requirements. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights and deletion requests
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email info@standardecom.com; see our data-deletion instructions for the details to include.
You may complain to your local data-protection authority or Bulgaria’s Commission for Personal Data Protection.
