How to make a request

1. Email info@standardecom.com with the subject Data deletion request.
2. Include the email address or WhatsApp number (with country code) you used, and tell us which information you want deleted. Approximate conversation dates can help us locate it.
3. Send the request from the relevant email address where possible. We may ask for limited additional information to confirm that the data belongs to you. Do not send a password, verification code or identity document unless we explain why further evidence is necessary.

This route is available to anyone whose information the app processes, including test participants. You do not need a Facebook account or an app subscription to make a request.

What happens next

We will review the request and respond without undue delay, normally within one month. If an extension is permitted because of complexity or the number of requests, we will explain the reason and revised timeframe within that month.

Where deletion applies, we will remove the relevant contact details, messages, attachments and associated records we control, and instruct relevant service providers as necessary. If we hold no matching data, we will let you know.

We may need to retain specific records to comply with law or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. If we cannot delete particular information, we will explain what is retained and why. Requests are normally free of charge.

What this request covers

The app is currently in setup and testing and has not taken over the existing customer WhatsApp number. For an order or a conversation handled by a linked shop, use that shop’s privacy contact. This request does not delete your WhatsApp account, messages on another person’s device, or information independently controlled by Meta/WhatsApp or a shop.
